Tl;dr Do not order the glass noodle veggie soup with ribs (2 stars) .. braised short rib (4 stars) was really goodFirst time here based on all the positive reviews. One of our favorite restaurants (Joy of Eating) was closed after the storm so we checked out this place, which is about 1 mile away.This restaurant is tucked behind a motel 6, on a side street, so it could be easy to miss. The area is kinda sketchy, kinda dirty but during the day it feels kinda safe .. The parking lot is small and clean. Park on the street at your own risk it is a narrow side street.It is nice and clean inside the restaurant. There were people seated at 3 tables and we were seated quickly. I was going to order the fried chicken (Chicken Loco Moco) but the server told me about the specials of the day. One of the specials was a glass noodle dish with vegetables and ribs. It sounded wonderful when she described it and she said it was really good. So, unfortunately, I took her recommendation.The broth was like hot water and fish sauce. That 's it. No spices. No depth. No flavor. The vegetables must have been frozen because they added no flavor to the dish or the broth. They were just like flavorless things that looked like vegetables. The ribs were old and dry. I guess when you 're trying to get rid of old ribs, you throw them into a soup and hope the customer can 't taste the rancid oil. Then, make it a 'special ' for the day.I honestly don 't understand why restaurants do this. If your food is old don 't try to re package it in another dish. Specials are supposed to be good and fresh.Positive: My partner ordered Da Loco Moco and it was really good!

Took my sister and my honey here for brunch. First off the restaurant ambience is ok. The location although close to the freeway seems kind of sketch with broken glass near parking area. Our waiter was ok in the beginning but my sister only gave 10% tip she said he wasn't very nice. Warning, do not drink the water! It's disgusting! Smells like wet rag and will make you cough. Hopefully they read this and are inspired to get a water filter. Now the food is really, really good! I ordered the chicken Loco and the chicken was very tender. The gravy had a nice thickness with added mushrooms. Definitely recommend! The bread pudding dessert was very moist and the texture was just right. Very good!

Food much better then when they first opened. Prices actually more than on the Islands. All good though!Food: 5/5

Small menu. Delicious Filipino/Hawaiian style food. Had the torta talong, short rib loco, and the pork loco. The short rib was better. Wish the pork cut was thicker. It was thin for skinny people. Lol I did try the rolls with guava butter which was the best thing. Will try the other stuff another visit.Food: 5/5
