This place is awesome. The food is great as well as the atmosphere. The service (Linda) is 5 star. I highly recommend this place for some good eats.

I've loved Joy of Eating for as long as I can remember....over 35 years....Moved out of state 7 years ago and on my last quick trip back to vallejo, our first stop as soon as we drove into town was Joy of Eating...Just as I remembered it! Food was delivered quick and was delicious...THE BREAD...I MISS IT SO MUCH....it is Soooo good!The server said the buildings on the whole block had recently been purchased.....I fear the new owners will be tearing it done....but I hope not.

We loved this place... huge portions and great homemade bread!! Huge fluffy pancakes!! Delicious!!

There was a black hair in my food. I disregarded it and thought hey, It happens but then later that day I felt ill. Not sure.It's related but Could be That the kitchen Needs two up their hygiene practices
