In an effort to improve the situation, I asked Rafael again to at least consult the kitchen about possible accommodations, and he reluctantly agreed. He eventually came back with some options and also introduced us to Doug, another server, who checked in on us multiple times throughout the evening. We were even lucky enough to see Doug again later at the Fireside Lounge during our stay. The food turned out to be quite good, and we were pleasantly surprised when Chef Dan prepared a special off-menu dessert for us and personally served it. This experience underscored the tension between restaurant authority and customer choice; Chef Dan's willingness to accommodate us was the primary reason we enjoyed our evening. I’ve never been asked to leave a restaurant before; while Rafael didn’t directly say "Get out," his implication was clear when he suggested we should dine somewhere else. It was honestly baffling, especially considering there were only about four or five other customers in the entire restaurant.

I had a quite disappointing dining experience at the Grand Hyatt. Considering the hotel's upscale reputation in Vail, I anticipated much better food. Sadly, the quality was below that of an average restaurant. The dishes suffered from inconsistent seasoning; the wings were too salty, while the pasta was completely lacking in salt. The fish was undercooked and cold, making it difficult to cut. To make matters worse, the sauce for the fish was also excessively salty. The Wagyu beef burger was only mediocre. The only dish that was reasonably good was the half chicken.

Our group had an excellent experience! The service was exceptional, and we relished stunning views while enjoying delicious French toast and poached eggs. The hot chocolate was a delightful addition as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Located inside the Grand Hyatt, we were greeted warmly and ushered to our seats. From the time our waiter Travis introduced himself the service and experience exquisite. He was informative and friendly and made awesome recommendations. The food came out absolutely delicious. From the squash salad , Pretzels bread , Lemon Thyme Chicken with lentils and butternut squash to the cherry tart with cream cheese ice. Just amazing. ????????????????????????????????????????Thank you Travis for the amazing service . ??????????????

The food is outstanding at Gessner's. The restaurant is located in the Grand Hyatt, the restaurant and hotel are both stunningly beautiful. We like dining out in the lobby area after a long day of skiing, highly recommend!
