Zaafran - Vadodara

Zaafran is one of the best restaurants serving mughlai food in Baroda. Don't go by the look of the restaurant which has a simple decor located in Fateh Gunj. Once you taste their food you will keep coming back. A must try is their cheese nan, paneer tikka, chicken tikka and non veg gravies.

After a disappointing experience at Lazeez, I decided to give Zafran a try a couple of weeks back. I am glad I did. Lipsmackingly delicious food. Had ordered the tandoori fish which was perfectly marinated but unfortunately not cooked well. The adraki chicken for mains along with butter naan was a total treat to the taste buds. Drool worthy! The ambience is nothing exceptional, but the food is! What the place lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in the food. Loved everything from the matki chicken to the green pudina chutney. The rotis were nice and soft. The quantity of the servings was good. Had ordered half each of matki chicken, chicken chatpata and paneer tikka with gravy for a group of 5 and it was more than enough. The service was also quick. Overall a very nice experience, would love to visit again.

An ok type restaurant.. the menu is quite confusing and the food u order is of totally different dimension. Not a good experience, bt some things were good.. so i go with 3

It was pathetic butter chiken is not made of makhani gravy... oily okwad roti and dalfry jeera rice was oky. It's not a big deal to make it.
