Hisui 2 And Grill - Vacaville

We've visited several sushi places that start off strong but tend to lose their touch in terms of food quality or service after a few visits. However, I have a really good feeling about Hisui 2. I can't believe it took us so long to try it, considering they've been around for some time and we never made it there before. We had previously been to the original Hisui location on the hill, but this smaller, cozier venue is perfect for enjoying excellent sushi, along with attentive service at the bar. The selection of rolls is immense, and we sampled quite a few different ones, all of which were fresh and buttery. While their beer on tap options are limited, they do offer a nice variety of sake and cocktails. To finish our meal, we indulged in the tempura green tea ice cream, topped with chocolate and whipped cream. We shared it among four people, and it was the ideal conclusion to our dining experience.

I ordered the $28 chirashi, which was full of variety and even included some lightly smoked lox. It was served with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We also tried the charbroiled whole calamari appetizer, which was grilled to perfection. As for the shoyu broth ramen, while it didn’t come with bamboo, it had a pleasant flavor and wasn’t overly salty, featuring thicker noodles that were a nice upgrade. We definitely plan to come back in the future.

I was originally concerned about the location, but this place exceeded my expectations! They only offer takeout at the moment, but the interior is really lovely. I can't wait to visit and dine in someday!

For an all you can eat sushi place this one is pretty good they have a good selection to choose from, make it fresh right when you order it. If it is busy it make take a little longer because they only have so many chefs to make it.

This is our work favorite for sushi! Always delicious and so many options to choose from. Definitely worth a try sometime!
