Looking for a Happy Hour Spot in Vacaville? The Buckhorn BBQ has several local beers on the tap. For a big beer it's $7 during the happy hour. The salads are freshly prepared and delicious. I would recommend sitting at the bar, so there is no waiting time. When the date goes well, go over the street to the Nussbaum shopping mall. Excellent steak, chicken and pork with all tastes of the original Buckhorn restaurant in winter, but without the choice. You'll find a real steak here, that's disappointing considering how incredible Buckhorn steaks are, but you're also suffering the steakhouse price, so you can afford to go more often! The service is order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The portions are sufficient, but you are probably not enough left for a doggy bag (Sorry buddy!! But they have a full bar when you feel the need. You also have a walkable pick-up window so that you can go your food without having to wait in the line.

I enjoy eating here, but we tipped in the register when we should wait until the end. Plates are dirty. Many open tables, one that was released for us, but the server forgot our party outside. Utinsils did not come out with food, plates came out dirty. Butter knives were given when steak was served and they were made of butter. Knives also came out separately from forks. Gravy didn't come out with potatoes, had to ask twice for a lot that wasn't even close enough, we gave up. After we were dreadfully served, the server gave us attitude. 3 stars for food because it's always good. But the service was terrible. Always ready to change stars, but from now on Personaling made us regret to choose this place.

Please do not take EVER the lavender honey lemonade drink from the menu. It was amazing! It is my understanding that you only have the two bartenders at the moment (I don't have their names) but they were great. The food was great too. However, I return to places that offer good customer service and we were very satisfied. Do you have the opportunity to make the VV location bigger?

The food was alright at best except the cornbread muffin was very good! They have Burnt Ends on the menu but do not order them, they aren't actually Burnt Ends and are actually just overdone cut up steak. There is no possible way the burnt ends are pork with how tough they are. Overall I'd say if you wanna check this place out go for it but don't be surprised when you have the feeling of never returning.
