Leon - Uttlesford

Travelers coming from Stansted airport should avoid purchasing food from this restaurant. I ordered 3 large fries, 2 portions of nuggets, and a chicken burger, but unfortunately all of it ended up in the trash. It cost £31, and the staff consisted of three young girls who appeared to be under 18. My partner bit into their burger and discovered it was raw, pink, and filled with gray veins. My daughter's nuggets were also cold and uncooked. When we brought these issues to the attention of the staff, they did nothing and did not even offer a bottle of water. Therefore, I advise against purchasing food from this establishment if you are traveling.

Excellent food had a marvellous chicken satay rice box. Really yummy and gluten-free. Mmm mmm coffee was a bit weak but then I choose Americano!

If you want a quick snack at the airport you are very limited as to where to go unless you are willing to queue for a long time, and then have to pay a huge amount for the privilege. Leon often has a queue, but they serve very quickly, prices are reasonable, food quite good.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I visited on June 14th for breakfast with a group of friends. Despite being the first in line before the opening time of 5 AM, the restaurant opened late at 5:15 AM. To make matters worse, they started serving people who arrived later and skipped the line. Our group of ten waited patiently but were ultimately disappointed with the poor quality, cold and soggy food we were served. The only redeeming factor was the decent coffee. The staff at the counter were unprofessional and slow, while the manager appeared disorganized. This was a disappointing experience, especially considering my usual love for Leon restaurants. It seems that the location of this branch results in a lack of care from the staff.

The fact that the staff member who made the Jerk Chicken wrap had no gloves on to make the wraps ordered is disgusting. He was touching his mobile phone, an iPad, the fridge door and the contents of the fridge. When challenged he stated “wearing gloves is a waste of time” . Totally unacceptable behaviour.
