Takumi - Utrecht

Ordered the take away only, because wanting to eat at home. Very good! Simple yet very tasty sushi! The restaurant itself looked cosy and it 's mandatory to take of your shoes! I am intriqued! This sounds like an interesting place. Can 't wait to try their whole menu. Will be back to try more! edit: ate here two weeks ago.. First with a friend, on a Wednesday evening. We were early, so everything went quite smooth. Sushi was good, not through the roof, but good! Especially liked their unagi. Returned here on a Sunday evening. Remember being warned by other Yelpers it could take ages on a busy day. Unfortunately, they were right. We waited 45 minutes before someone came asking if we already received our first course. We said we didn 't. It took 15 more minute before we received food. What bothered me the most, that no one had real attention for us, while the restaurant wasn 't really busy! I believe the take away was very busy, but then, assign your staff accordingly. No one asked us if we were ok, that they were sorry. We had to ask ourselves. When they served us food, they walked away briskly, not even asking us if we wanted drinks or making eye contact if we needed anything. It was hard to get the attention of the staff when we wanted to order or simply asking something. We were sitting on the low seating, with two other couples. The couple next to us had the same complaints. It was sad, because I really wanted to like this restaurant. It 's nearby, and it 's by the owners of Moto and Konnichiwa, so I expected a great deal from them. I 've been putting of writing the review because I hate writing negative one 's, but this is truthfully our experience. Because I read another review with the same complaints, I am not likely to return. Maybe just for take away, but the sushi 's quality was not superb, and we 'd probably sooner order take away at Sushi Wang then at this place. Too bad :

Altijd heerlijke sushi! De kinderhoek kan wel een update gebruiken en we kiezen er bewust voor om altijd doordeweeks te gaan. Dan is de service geweldig en het eten wordt snel geserveerd.

Fantastisch, ik kom hier al jaren als vaste klant sinds de opening. De sushi is altijd vers en er wordt royaal met vis omgegaan, in tegenstelling tot veel andere restaurants die we hebben geprobeerd.
