The activities of the day at some 30 °C had added something to us. This time a young woman worked in the service again, but it wasn't the one who had service on the first night. She also noticed a good training and, like her colleagues before, she was always friendly and accommodating. I also scanned the menu of this evening. We looked at each other when we discovered that it should start with a tomato soup like the first night. Since we both had no desire for a repetition after so short time, we asked the service if there was an alternative. She promised to ask and disappeared towards the kitchen. After a short time she came back and informed that a pumpkin-curry soup was available as an alternative. Now even after several experiments from different kitchens, the pumpkin soup usual in Germany with small variations is not my thing at all. But the variant with Curry seemed to be worth an attempt, and so we went on to the proposal. At the main course, we both had no desire for a crust roast in view of the outside temperatures, and so we chose unisono the “grilled chicken breast on fresh vegetables and potato gratin”. As usual, there were the two varieties of bread at the start, the butter in the pans had again different spices than on the eve. One of them seemed so successful that we asked the service for the recipe, but the output was rejected by the kitchen. The soup was then served in large plates. Slightly skeptical because of my not so positive experiences I tried the pumpkin soup and was pleasantly surprised. This preparation was so completely different than I knew until then, and Madame was also very happy with the soup. When the plates were emptied, the operation also appeared to clear them. Little later, she came with the main dishes, which also looked very good again. On anthracite-colored dishes there was a piece of chicken breast cut obliquely into strips. In addition, a heap of vegetables, which was apparently only briefly pulled through the hot pan, and a potato burr. The meat had a clear crust and was tender and juicy inside, the vegetables crisp fresh and bite-resistant. The potato gratin was also very well advised, the whole composition was very tasty and delicious. Finally, the parfait in the tree-cake coat, under which we could not imagine something like this in advance: the parfait mass in various layers, covered by a thin dough coat, and the strawberries in several small sticks. The whole was arranged on glass plates and decorated with thin strips of caramel cream – sweet, but not too sweet, and extremely tasty – I refer to the picture.... Ambience and cleanliness There is nothing more to report about the establishment, which has not changed since the eve, and there was no reason to criticise the cleanliness. For another description, I refer to my first review of this house.
