Spirit Knob Winery - Ursa

Great view from the deck over looking the fields down in the valley. Enjoyed a relaxing day visiting my daughter and our two year old grandson. They said the wine was great and I will take their word for it. I got to be the DD. Will probably go back in the spring time when the trees are starting to bloom. The lady that served us was great to talk to.

The venue is gorgeous, live music was very good, liz bentley was the performer. Wine slushees are fire, the wine is just ok, but over all very good experience

Surperb customer service with delicious wine selection and a great view. The owner Matt is wonderful. He definitely knows his stuff and he has built many of the items in the winery. I brought 6 bottles after tasting. I'll definitely be back!

Having visited many wineries around the country, including Napa and Missouri, I found that serving wine in plastic cups to be very cheap. The tasting was very disappointing as well. The server didn't tell us anything about the wines we were drinking, even after telling him we were from out of the area. Tasting Room: was very nice, an amazing view; however there were very young kids (babies and under 10-year olds running around. This is not a place for a child of any age. The winery was fairly busy, but not too busy to be an annoyance. Wine: Very sweet, need more of the traditional wines found around the world. Wine had a funky plastic taste, probably from the plastic cups. The tasting pours were maybe 1/4 of an ounce, which barely gives you enough to taste. The bottles were reasonably priced, plastic cups of wine were as well. I don't know if I would go back, I love wine, but drinking out of plastic cups is not how any other winery I've visited (30 or so) serves glasses. I'm okay with plastic for a tasting, but if you buy a glass of wine serve it in proper glassware. Glass helps maintain the temperature of the wine which is paramount to the flavor.

I just had my first try of Spirit Knob, the Day's End. One of the better wines I have had. I could honestly say that I could suggest this wine to anyone. Great taste.
