If you are looking for a culinary experience, unlike simply filling your hungry stomach... it is. Traditional Basque cuisine in a typical Basque farmhouse, but only a few kilometers from Hendaye. A really charming decor that could be a gastro pub with polite and efficient staff. My mother and I both had the Merlu file, which despite a few more bones than I had imagined was delicious. A great restaurant. Appropriate price not cheap, but what you would expect for this quality of food.
We wanted a nice meal on the way to Toulouse from Spain, find this city near the highway. We were happy to find it, the food was good, the staff was really nice and even helpful. I had the "plat...du jour ' St Jacques tasty and my husband lamb. The mi cuit fois gras as starter was also beautiful. Overall, it was a nice evening in a cozy place with good food and good service.
I know it's a popular place, but it didn't have for us the food was okay, a little fat. The service property. Maybe it wasn't a good night.
