We were at one point worrying about being served frozen fish. Fish are fresh and tasty. Tataki beef was poor. They look like slices of meat for shabu shabu. The ironic thing is that a Japanese cuisine preparing video was showing the chef making the Tataki Beef from high grade Rib eye steak... In your dreams... In your dreams.
It was one of the worse Japanese meals I've had. We ordered the sukiyaki hotpot and an assorted sashimi plate. The sukiyaki soup was good with lots of veggies and onions and it comes with some udon, but the beef slices looked terrible. The beef came still raw and frozen, which was totally fine, it's gonna be cooked in the hot pot anyway, but half the beef was dark brown! It looked to me like the beef had been frozen for years. Then the sashimi plate came, the fish was frozen and that's not ok. I had a hard time biting into the fish without feeling my sensitive teeth. I decided to wait until the rest of the plate thaws, then the maguro/red tuna turned out to be super slimy, fresh tuna shouldn't be slimy at all, it just grossed me out so much and I couldn't even finish the sashimi. I will never go back to Irasshai.

It was one of the worse Japanese meal I had. we ordered the sukiyaki hotpot and a sorted sashimi plate. the sukiyaki suppe was good with many sweet and swashing and it comes with something udon, but the bark slices looked terrible. the bark still came raw and frozen, which was completely in order, it is cooked anyway in a hot pot, but the half of the bark was dark brown! it looked like the bark was frozen for years. then came the Sashimi plate, the fish was frozen and that's not okay. I had a hard time biting in the fish without feeling my delicate teeth. I decided to wait until the rest of the plate froze, then the maguro/red tuna turned out to be super slim, fresh thunfish should not be slender at all, it just robbed me so much and I couldn't even finish the sashimi. I'm never going back to irasshai.
