Rsl Poppies Restaraunt - UPWEY

Perhaps the only rsl in victoria that still treats vets as the reason they exist. the food was good. in the past it was great. I had the gnocci and it was light and fluffy, but was overcrowded. I'm looking forward to the next visit.

Came here on Wednesday at 18 o'clock. Apart from another couple our group were the only ones there (we were a big group around 20 of us). like any rsl they order eating at the counter and drinks at the bar. I tried the special chicken dust alaya, and my man had the chicken parmagiana. I would say the size of the portion is small for an average Australian. the staff was very friendly and attentive. I said the dame before that I didn't want a big thing to fit into dessert and she told me I could always take away. and straight on haste when I decided to eat my main thing, she came to me and asked if I wanted to take the rest home. I enjoy my chicken jambalaya, but nothing to rave, there was a bit kick on it. my man liked his parma, but did not love it. for dessert we ordered the vanilla disc and pana cotta. the presentation for both was beautiful, but taste was meh. overall his a good family restaurant, I will try again the other dishes, as they had a great choice to choose from (formerly meat dishes, pasta and even goulash! . they also have a child menu. Weapon enthusiasts enjoy the representation of heavy and weapons on the walls as they enter. it is almost like a free miniature museum. there is also a huge tank out there.

A brilliant RSL with a good food menu and great staff. No pokies to interrupt the live music. We had a great Sunday afternoon with friends. The food was well priced and came out at the same time as others on our table even though we ordered separately.If your local to the area or looking for a place to spend a Sunday afternoon the Upwey RSL is a relaxed place to do itVegetarian options: Vegetarians are catered well for with a few options available

The meals were uninspiring and lacked flavor, leaving us regretting both the calories consumed and the money spent. It's disappointing, as I've had many enjoyable meals at Upwey RSL in the past, but it seems the restaurant has taken a turn for the worse.

The food and beer are outstanding and come at very reasonable prices. The team also brings a fantastic atmosphere!
