Country Club Sooper - Upton

Charming little local shop with a great selection of snacks and drinks, plus a cozy sandwich spot in the back.

Not a fan? I moved to Upton three years ago and have stopped by a few times. I tried the pizza, but they use onion in the sauce, which isn't to my taste. On another occasion, I arrived 15 minutes before closing and couldn't order at the deli because they were taking the slicers down. Most recently, I bought some sub rolls that had mold starting to grow on a couple that I didn't notice at the store. I usually give places a few chances, but I've had enough.

I recently discovered Country Club Sooper and I'm really impressed with their daily specials! They share them on Facebook every morning, which is a great way to try something different. Each special sandwich comes with chips and a pickle, and the prices are fantastic. They also offer a great selection of butcher shop meats and various ingredients. It's an excellent one-stop shop for everything you need to prepare dinner.

I've never had a disappointing meal at this place. The specials are consistently excellent, and on days when you're not in the mood for a special, they offer the best cold cut sandwiches around.

Pleasantly surprised by this casual, local institution! They offered a fantastic catering service and brought the trays right into my car. They were very supportive for the sampling of the Nipmuc Drama Guild and delivered food quite expensive. We left food for days! Very generous!
