The first problem I noticed was the portioning. This meal should be mostly potatoes, with a couple of kumara, a couple of pumpkin and a side of veges which should be just peas and carrots. What I got was a container that was 98% full of veges, with four tiny potatoes, one tiny kumara and one tiny pumpkin on top. The veges included beans and corn and were bland and tasteless. The potatoes and kumara were edible, just. The pumpkin was bland and under cooked. The gravy was thin, more like brown water. Then there was the price. In the window of the shop is a copy of the menu (the same menu as shown in this listing). This says the large vegetarian meal is $11. I was charged $12. Perhaps the menu is out of date? If it is, it should be removed. It's bad business practice (and possibly against the law) to show one price and charge something different, even if it's only one dollar more. I note that the most recent reviews on here date back to 2013, and for the most part seem positive. Perhaps the shop was under different owners back then. In any event, that was my experience and I'm sorry but I won't be buying here again.
It's a takeaway roast place with seating mainly for waiting. You could eat there if pressed. Access by two steps off footpath.Food is on par with other comparable outlets.
