Gerrys - Upper Hutt

I often buy just the POTATOES to go with a home cooked meal, or to eat on their own. They are declicious even heated up in the microwave the next day. Also, I notice they always have very clean windows :

The missus loves the fish and chips.   I personally like the chicken schnitzel for making sammies at home.  The chips are VERY good.  The char-broiled chicken is a nice alternative to KFC and heaps better than Nandos.  The flavour reminds me of a place in California US called El Pollo Loco. A great addition to the variety of eateries and apparently a legend in the Upper Hutt.  I would recommend.

Ordered a two piece chicken snitzel meal pack for $15. I eat with my eyes and this meal was so filling, I couldn't eat it all. The meal was cooked well and the roast potatoes were really yummy and not overcooked, got quite a few potatoes (about 7). Can't wait to try the roast chicken meal next time.

Favourite place to eat ever came back to Upper Hutt after a while still tastes as good as it did I use to get take out weekly every thing always tastes amazing I love the beef meal and they have the best flavouring on there chips

Feels like my dirty little secret but I love this place. We always get the same thing fish and chips. But I have no doubt the chicken would be good too. The guy is always friendly to my 3.5yo and says hello to her, he once gave her a choc mousse for free which she was stoked with. We usually go early, around 4.30ish so it’s quick and quiet at that time. The chips are sooooo good, I always eat too many cos even though I’m full they taste so good I just can’t help myself. Big pieces of fish too. $20 feeds 3 of us with a fair bit leftover too.
