Papa John's Pizza - Upminster

Do not visit this restaurant under any circumstances. The customer service is terrible - they never answer the phone when you call to check on a late order, and when they did pick up, they hung up while I was speaking. The food arrived an hour later than promised, cold, and missing toppings. Absolutely shocking experience.

We enjoy the non-vegan pizzas at this restaurant, but we have tried several of their vegan pizzas and were not impressed. We believe that the cheese is what makes them not as tasty. If they used a different vegan cheese, it would greatly improve the flavor. We will not be ordering any more vegan pizzas from Papa John's in the future. We do appreciate that they offer vegan options in their deals, unlike Dominos, which does not include vegan pizzas in their deals. Additionally, we do not recommend the Vegan Cheese Marmite Scrolls.

I recently ordered a double pepperoni pizza and felt compelled to leave a review. Unfortunately, the pizza was burnt on the bottom and lacking in quality. It was clear that no care was taken in preparing it, and I was disappointed in the lack of professionalism. I regret not reading reviews before ordering and feel that the restaurant should be ashamed for sending out such subpar food, especially considering the prices they charge. Even my dog refused to eat it!

Like I have read on other reviews there was a problem with the app on ordering and first one said that the basket stated empty. So reordered the same meal which went through and confirmed the meal. Pizza man delivered double the amount, when I queried why so much he said you ordered twice. I said no it was only once so he basically said oh well ring the shop! Rang straight away to be told by rude manager who completely spoke over me that they rang two numbers (funny how neither rang) and therefore said that they thought it was correct. I had ordered the pizza in half and half so said well that should have shown you it wasn't correct as why would I have ordered half and half same pizza twice ? I would have simply ordered 2 pizzas with the topping all over!! I said that I wanted a refund as not my mistake and paid in advance on PayPal and that as a customer who only buys pizza from here I would not be reordering if not refunded. This so called manager clearly did not give a toss and point blank refused a refund for their error! Never again, steer clear! And to rub insult into wound all the food was barely warm! Terrible service!!
