Athos - Uplengen

Actually, the Athos was a place where you could eat delicious. How disappointing the visit between Christmas and New Year's Eve: Appetizer dish only Fritted without spices, main course so la la and practically not seasoned and fade, salad sweet. The only light-view that is as always very friendly service. Two days after our visit, acquaintances have had the same disappointing experience. Did the cook change? Or was it the Christmas stress? Hopefully, the Athos will soon return to its good form as it prevailed in the summer!

We were in the Athos for the repeated time and were not disappointed again. The ambience appealing (we sat out this time), service very attentive (to welcome gave an ouzo) and friendly. menu very extensive; However, this is relativized by the fact that the standard components of the Greeks in Germany (Gyros, Souvlaki and Bifteki) appear in different combinations on the usual plates and plates. I lacked the traditional dishes such as Moussaka and Stifado, the portions are very large, so that also woodjacks come to your expense and they also taste good. The Souvlaki, however, was a bit dry probably a tick too long on the grill, the prices are within the framework, all in all a recommended restaurant.

Greek food, as you know here in Germany. In principle good but nothing special. However, the operation is particularly important. Super friendly, courteous and natural. You can see that the work is fun. Go on! Many could cut a slice here and see what service means!!! Thank you

Of course, this restaurant has also raised prices in recent weeks, but since the quality of food and the kindness of the staff is fantastic, this price increase does not affect the number of visitors. Without reservation, you must still be very lucky if you want to get a seat.
