My wife and I stopped here for lunch while in the Sedona area on vacation. We both love Chinese, especially spicy. A bit of a rain as we headed from parking restaurant sits a bit off the road but worth the walk. We were greeted and seated immediately and given water and menus to peruse. A beautifully decorated place, reminiscent of places we ate in China. They even have the ?Lazy Susan? tables in one area that were the standard in China. My wife opted for the Kung Pao Chicken and I chose the Kung Pao Shrimp, both requested extra spicy. Quickly our Egg Drop Soups came, hot and tasty. Followed by hot egg rolls, tasty but not unusual. Then our meals came. Then our meals came. Glorious sauces, wonderful veggies, yummy meats. We had to laugh. The ?extra spicy? was extra little dried peppers that were crunchy and not hot at all. Brushed them aside, like eating toothpicks. But overall service was great, food was great, atmosphere was terrific. A definite must.
Chose this place for dinner because of the reviews. Glad we went! Greeted/seated immediately, Jeanine was attentive. I ordered the Volcano Roll (because of the reviews from other customers) and it was delicious. Other items ordered: 2 pork egg rolls, Mongolian beef and Kung Pao Beef...delicious. Chinese Village Mai Tai..excellent tasting. Place was clean, staff were friendly and attentive.
This was my first time giving them a try, and I'll definitely be back for special occasions. I had the Teriyaki Chicken, Volcano Roll, and Rainbow Roll. It was super fresh, super tasty, and the flavor and spiciness was superb. (Only issue was there were a few tough spots in the chicken I had to spit out the chicken just wasn't cut 100% properly. Service was great, atmosphere was great. A little pricey but everything is these days.
Happy Easter. This is my second time here. It left an impression the first time and had to come back and enjoy another delicious meal. The entrance already sets the tone as you enter the property. The pond with red rocks and the trees surrounding it gives it an amazing feeling of peace and tranquility. I love the fu dogs at the entrance and even lovelier with the amethyst stone at the front counter and waiting area. The decor is nice and eye catching. The dragons are magnificent as well. Of course, I am bias because I love anything to do with Asian culture and art. We had an attentive waitress and she did her best to serve us. My friend couldn't get her taste buds with the beverages and she ended up with just lemon water. So happy the waitress was patient with us. It makes a difference in the world. It was appreciative and that says a whole lot for the restaurant itself. We ordered sesame chicken with fried rice and mixed vegetables with garlic sauce and fried rice. We ended up sharing with each other. It was filling and delicious ? ? ?.
