San Marcos Mexican Restaurant

Very good. I lived in some major cities and ate a lot of Mexican food. San Marcos is not the best, but it is pretty good for a small town. I've never had a bad meal. I really can't explain the terrible reviews, but think that my experience is a larger sample group. I probably ate there 10 times and it was always good. It is true that some of the waiters act as if you interfere with them by sitting in their section, but they always offer a good time service.

I don't know why you don't love San Marcos. I live in Clanton and I have eaten several times when I can count. Always great. Never had a bad experience. Always clean. Must eat there!

The server gave us great service with delicious food. We love tacos, and they had some new menu elements to experience here. The fish tacos with pineapple got unique answers, but they were enjoyed. The fish was fresh, and the corn and flour tortillas were perfectly cooked. The Burrito was as big as ever ordered, an excellent price. Shredded beef is not something we usually order, but the broth that he shimmers in deserved good reviews from the 3 foods. Mais Street was a bit strange with lots of sauce and cheese, but the unique presentation in a Styrofoam cup still tasted. Horchata has a 3/5, not badly tasting, only watery. The Quesadilla had great taste and cooked really well. Guacamole was simple, avocados and a little extra spice. Good for diving. The queen also had a good taste. We'd come back. Good value for food and cost to feed our big family.

It's possible. PRICEY! To get chips, salsa and Queso $12.00. I was amazed. Chips and salsa were good; queso was watery and not edible. I believe in 2nd chances, so I'll try again, but I'll eat the next time.

San Marcos provided me with what I was needing. A nice Mexican lunch with my Dad. There was nothing outstanding, but nothing to complain about. Good cheese dip, good salsa. Dad's fajita steak was a little chewier than he prefers, but not bland. I had a combo plate with a tamale that was kinda dry, but not terrible. Rice good, beans good, service prompt and courteous.
