Rock solid food and friendly service. We literally drive past this place every day and I tell my wife we have to try it here. We finally did this and went and took an early dinner. I feel like there is no need to tackle what you most likely know about this place when you're driven by. It is an old school square, no-frills decoration and has a very home-like feeling. Very clean and easy dated this place really has a charm that it has been here for a while and it does what it does and it does well. The menu has a diner feel, but also feels more refined and expanded than the typical fat spoon. They offer daily soups and specialties along with the classics that await you from a stack like this place. The food is super fresh, well cooked and really stays in the lines. I tried the philly cheese steak and chili verde soup and my wife got a patty melt. The whole food was really delicious. The Chili Verde soup was really surprising and had huge pieces of hearty pork in it. The Phillie was super solid with fresh beef and paprika and even the pommes were great. My wife's patty melt was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful and kept the place clean and the mood quite relaxed. This place is obvioualy a clamp in this area, as it was the first place we were told to eat when we moved here. They do everything you can eat on certain days and I'm sure they have much more to offer, but for our first visit it was great. If you want fresh, good size shares, fair prices and made food at home. Look at it. If you like culinary tours around the world, different cultures eat kissing and diving in the things we are not used to here; probably not the place you are looking for, but you will still find something really good to eat here. We'll return safely.
The liver and onions were good, not exceptional, but good. My steak was cooked, as I asked, good work to the cook. The services were far beyond what I expected. Super polite, nice and friendly she was. I ordered a little complicated as I tend to go hard when I eat out of the server, treated it with grace and ease.
My family enjoyed our food very much! We'll try something else again. Her ranch and blue cheese dressings are homemade. It was good and filled. Our waitress was very nice and attentive.
I had liver and onions, and it was delicious! The liver was tender and the rice pilaf was delicious also.
