A group of us went to a restaurant where we had pre-ordered our meals. The food was delicious and everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their dishes. The service was efficient, and all our meals arrived at the same time. Although the restaurant was busy, we still had a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The restaurant is also very dog-friendly. The average price per person ranged from £10-£20. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. I would recommend trying the Fish and Chips and the Chicken Burger with Salad.
We had to change our family party location last minute and decided to go to The Old Georg. Henry and the staff were amazing, helping us with all the arrangements. The hot food buffet was delicious and the Hahn beer they served was great as well. I would highly recommend them for events or a nice night out.
We visited this pub with our 4 and 2-year-old children, as recommended by our sister pub Royal Oak, which was fully booked. The establishment was beautiful and bustling with customers. We ordered our food, and were pleased to find gluten-free options available. However, our food took quite a while to arrive, over an hour after placing our order. I spoke to the pub manager, Henry, about the delay, especially as our children were getting restless. Henry was very understanding and apologetic, offering us complimentary items from the menu. Despite the initial hiccup, I have no hesitation in returning to this pub in the future. Everyone has bad days, but it's how they handle it that matters, and the way Henry showed care and professionalism towards us was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Henry, for your excellent service. We'll be back soon!
We went out for dinner on a Saturday night with high hopes due to the good atmosphere. The steak was cooked well, but unfortunately, the curry and soup were disappointing. The lamb curry was tasty, but the daal and saag aloo were bland and unseasoned. The flatbread was just a tortilla wrap. The waitress was nice and the service friendly, but for the price point, we expected better quality food. Cost per person: £30–40 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
