Bilash Spice - United Kingdom

This was my first visit, although several friends have been and recommended it. I want disappointed. The food was good. The surroundings, clean and quite modern. You have to bring your own alcohol though as they don't send it on the premises.

We had a really nice meal. Staag chicken, asked for extra chillies and was perfect.The service was great. The price was very reasonable.

We visited the Bilash as to treat our friends for their 25th wedding anniversary. We booked early sitting because it gets very busy. The service started well and our starters were very nice. As it got busier the service went down the pan! My main course was a lamb dish in which I counted 5 pieces of chewy lamb. I ordered a roti and 3 times I was brought a plain naan. As if I wouldn’t know what a roti looked like. I gave up in the end and accepted the naan which was horrible as it had obviously been warmed up each time they took it away! To top it off several times a waiter tried to take away our glasses of water which we were all drinking, they were obviously short of glasses. Also my husband went to pay the bill at the bar. He had his coat on his chair and we still had drinks to finish and the same waiter who wanted our glasses tried to take my husbands chair to put at another table. So rude! They really need to learn some etiquette. We were so disappointed for our friends who we’d taken out as a celebration because it wasn’t very nice and just made us feel unwelcome.

Very slow and poor service Over 2 hour wait and owner said that this was normal and didn’t see the issue

Food beautiful as always but the service Was shocking .very bad service. Table booked for 8pm didn't get table till gone 8.30 nearly 8.45 .it was packed but concentrated on take outs rather than table service
