Los Hernández Tamales - Union Gap

Wow! Amazing Tamale! My wife and I were in the Yakima Valley over Labor Day weekend for a wine tasting adventure. We both love Mexican food and I did research. All reviews on this place were great so we decided to try it. The asparagus and cheese tamals were excellent and the pig tamals were also great. I usually don't bless fools when I go to Mexico, I'm more a Burrito type, but this place is special. The taste is incredible, it melts in your mouth and makes you want to eat more and come for more. Everyone who goes through the area has to stop here! It's worth it. Excellent!!!!

Amazing! They lived until the hype and then some. If the asparagus pigs are in the season, they are a must. It's worth the ride.

I enjoy Los Hernandez tamale for the first time. Very good Tamale! I tried the pig and the asparagus, both very tasty! They have a lot of filling and the mascara was not dry, it had great taste. Five stars!

Drove the 3hrs from Spokane with very high expectations with the James Beard Classics Award. And I must say that they have exceeded my expectations! Hands down the best tamales I ever had not to mention the rice and salsas (they were made of beans, but generously gave us an additional tamale) cannot wait to go back during the asparagus season. Well done!

Not my first time, never my last. I dream about these tamales. I dream of things to do that keep me going over the pass so I have a reason to get more of these tamales. Can’t wait for asparagus Chile tamales!
