Jj's Retro Eatery - Union City

We are blessed to have the Retro here for us all to enjoy. The food is always good, as is the service. Greg and Deb James are always at the helm working hard. It shows in the service and the food. The servers are always very welcoming and take great care of us and our friends. The Diner it self is beautiful ! It's like going back in time. Then we get to end the meal with the best pies and deserts. Keep up the great job, we are grateful you are here in union city.

My wife and I had breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11. The food was excellent, and the service was superb! If you're a fan of French toast, you absolutely have to try the Cinnamon French Toast—it's amazing! The all-you-can-eat breakfast is also outstanding. I absolutely love this place. My family has a cottage at Canadohta Lake, and for several years, we would drive by this spot on our way to Union City and think, “We should really give it a try!” We finally did, and it's fantastic! Give it a shot; you won’t regret it!

I had the I Love Lucy, a melt sandwich on marbled rye, topped with a sunny-side-up egg, mushrooms, sweet onions, spinach, and a creamy Swiss cheese. It was absolutely delicious! Just a tip: ask for extra napkins. With all the hearty ingredients, you'll likely need them, just like I did. I wasn’t specifically looking for a meatless sandwich, but by the time I reached the last few bites, I realized it was exactly what I wanted—I didn't miss the meat at all. The coffee was delightful—perfectly brewed, not too strong, and incredibly fresh. As soon as I arrived at the restaurant and took in the atmosphere, I couldn't help but feel excited. I also treated myself to a slice of pumpkin cheesecake, but after just a few bites, I was so full that I had to take the rest home. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends!

We were on the sunny Sunday and decided to stop for lunch. We had chicken stables. They had no spaghetti, so they replaced egg noodles. It tasted good. It was a big part. The salad was like any other this time of the yearbook stick-onion-one grape tomatin and a thin slice of gurke. The creamy onion salad dressing was the best ever. I had the best peanut butter thunder cake in the world. Light/fluffy and a large part. My friend had cherry cheesecake and can't stop talking about it!

After a year of anticipation, I finally got to dine at this restaurant, and I absolutely loved it! The food was fantastic, and the staff were excellent!
