Favorite Indian - Union City

Great Indian Restaurant is located in the Plaza in Union City, CA in Decoto Rd. The Plaza has tons of parking and they follow COVID security procedures well. You basically check, and the food is either ready immediately, or you need to wait at least 5 minutes outside so that the food can all be prepared for you. There are a variety of dishes and I loved the wide range of vegetarian options! You are currently only doing orders to go, only without indoor and outdoor kitchen. That was the main part I looked at. With regard to the dishes, I naan Shahi Paneer, Aloo Gobi and her garlic. Overall my experience was really good and the food was spicy but delicious! As I like it. I'll start with the Shahi Paneer. The Shahi Paneer is a creamy sauce with windshield wipers that is like cottage cheese. I must say I like how thick the creamy sauce was! It was definitely very delicious and it is perfect to naan your garlic in the Shahi Paneer. I also like the pieces of cottage cheese because it was soft and really liked how easy it was in the taste. Loved the warm spices also with the Shahi Panneer, but my one thing I would like was some herbs like Zilantro. I think the court would be more composed and increased if there was something fresh (like a herb) to really help the court. A very nicely assembled vegetarian dish! I should say that was my favorite dish. The Aloo Gobi is basically cauliflower and potatoes with special Indian spices. I loved how the vegetables were all coated in the spices and in any case you get a kick when you eat it. I love the texture of cauliflower and the potatoes I thought they were not too soft or crunchy, but there were some pieces of potato I noticed were bigger than others. I wish it was a bit more consistent and a bit more salt for the vegetables would also be great. Overall I liked these vegetable Medley I thought it was delicious and it was not disappointed by the heat! I also got her garlic naan and I liked how soft the naan was. It is definitely a great piece of bread and they also give you a beautiful part. I love all garlic and I wish there were more garlic in the naan if I have to be honest! I love garlic and literally, I have garlic in the naan, but I wanted more. Overall I really liked the garlic naan, but I like more garlic, but then it could be garlic, so I am not sure haha! Overall, this Indian place is a hidden gem in Union City! I really recommend her food and the woman on the counter was sweet in helping me. I want to come back and try more of their delicious food! I'm so happy I found this place! Please help your local company during this time! This is a Great Indian restaurant in Union City, in my opinion! Nice food, We ordered: Lunch Special: shahi paneer, Naan Rice and Gulab Lassi as well.. Bread is soft, I liked it. Overall: Good food

The under rated Indian restaurant it deserves more than what words can describe. When i moved to Union City i didn't even know this restaurant was just nearby, glad i know it now. If i need some really delicious, I know whom to call. Really tasty food

We celebrated my hubby's 55th birthday with this yummy food from the Great Indian Restaurant and we have become permanent customers to this awesome yummy food that was prepared with love and perfection! Every bite we took was so yummy! The food was super fresh and hot prepared! The naan bread basket is the best choice, butter chicken was the bestest! Fish pakora is my daughters favorite! The salad was very fresh and yummy! Thanks to Sean and Amanpreet for hiring such great talented artist to prepare amazing food! The prices are very reasonable and the food is beyond 5 star rating! You just have to try this place to make it your permanent food choice better than home!
