The Traveler - Union

I'll preface this with it being our destination to check out. We went about 4pm on a Monday and there wasn't a lot of people there. There are shelves of books everywhere to check out. We were quickly greeted and sat at a table over next to the windows. Sam came over and was cheerful and polite asking if we had been there before. She explained that we each could take 3 books with us when we left , took our drink orders and left us to peruse the menu. We decided on an order of the poutine french fries to start which were absolutely delicious. We ordered pancakes (both blueberry and chocolate) and bacon and a burger (the godfather with pesto, bacon , caramelized onions, mushrooms and cheese) with onion rings. Everything was delicious and cooked as requested. Now maybe the best part was how excited Sam was to make a sundae for us. We got a brownie sundae and it was truly wonderful. Two large scoops of ice cream , whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and a couple cherries sitting on top of a warm gooey brownie. I would say Sam is an ice cream artist. There was a lot of care put into everything I experienced there today and it was just a nice change of pace. The pricing to me was reasonable for the products I received and the excellent service was a bonus.

Really clean place with friendly staff. we had dinner here. Vegan options are available. husband had the turkey dinner and I decided for the mystical river sluice minus cheese and meerrettich and we both really enjoyed it. eating was fresh and hot and our waitress was great. book series all walls and each man gets three books to home! really great idea and beautiful to see something new. the restaurant was very clean and had some items (T-shirts, tassen, cards) to buy at the front area. they also have books for sale below if interested. recommend them when they are through or in the opposite great atmosphere, great eating, great service.

Love this place! I like to stop it here when I come to new england to visit my family, but it is since my last visit to traveler 3 years. long overdue. great food and service. filled with books and get them 3 free books with their food. what is not to love?

Unique dining and reading experience. Incredible maple bacon chicken sandwich and the best Reuben I've had in a long time! They even made my fries well done! Love the ambiance, food,books and prices!

Love this place! I like stopping here when I come to New England to visit my family, but it?s been 3 years since my last visit to Traveler. Long overdue. Great food and service. Filled with books and you get to pick 3 free books with your meal. What?s not to love?
