Hideaway - UNANDERRA

I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the years and it seems to have changed ownership many times. It is a nice spot away from the hustle and bustle of food courts. The food was delicious; I had scrambled eggs with amazing bacon and a pot of tea. My companion enjoyed the salt and pepper squid. The only downside was that the coffee wasn't very hot. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Things must have change since the last review because, the food and service here was top notch. We came here for breakfast and drinks and were not disappointed.Not sure if it has changed hands or the owner has picked up their game but it nothing like the old reviews. The staff were very nice and friendly, the service was good and the food was really nice. We had the pooched egg with mushrooms and rocket.The place is bright and the plants in the outside area makes it fell like nice and relaxing.Give it a try, if its the same as when we went, you wont be sorry.

The service sucked, we waited 1 hour for brekkie and the coffee came 5 minutes AFTER that!!!!!!We then sent back the food because the poached egg was overcooked to the max and my food was stone cold!Coffee was average at best but just waiting and seeing the place barely filled with customers was just plain cruel.....

I've been going there for nearly 40 years. The service is always excellent and the food is great. In the 1970s I used to take my grandmother there and she'd always want lamb chops.

My daughter and I call in here occasionally because it serves lovely food. We are never disappointed with the food but we have learned to advise the staff that we are on a lunch break we are being seated because sometimes the wait is a little long to get your order taken!
