Miori Japanese - UMINA BEACH

We stumbled upon this wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Umina, and it was a delightful discovery. Our table shared several dishes, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Some highlights included the chicken karaage, vegetable gyoza, mixed tempura platter, and fresh sushi rolls. The drink menu offered a nice selection of both local and traditional options, and the Japanese plum wine was particularly sweet and tasty. I highly recommend making a reservation, even on weeknights, as it tends to get quite busy.

It's difficult to find quality Japanese cuisine along the coast that also offers excellent vegetarian options. The udon soup, veggie tempura, and veggie gyoza are all outstanding. The prices are reasonable as well, making it one of my favorite restaurants for a simple yet delicious dinner.

I had a wonderful lunch today. My mother-in-law has celiac disease, and it was fantastic to see that they had an entire gluten-free menu for her to choose from. The meals were fresh, delicious, and offered at a great price. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

This is a Must Try restaurant. The food here is absolutely delectable. Their Curry Rice w/ chicken katsu and entire Cooked Roll selection is impeccable. The staff is amazing and they give the place a real family feel. Will be coming back here again and again. 10/10.

Best Japanese on the coast! You can tell how fresh every single thing is, even the tofu! They also sell fresh steamed edamame which is so yum!
