Breathtaking view, fresh food, great place for dining, worth the experience!

Suppose coming from Cape Town you are not used to seeing the cheapest bottle of wine at almost R200 per bottle.Durban's food prices are high in comparison to CT! Food served was average for the price. I expected more-my fellow diners agreed.The views of the ocean are great and the hot flat bread served upfront was what help me give 3 stars

Fresh ingredients well prepared. simple cooking, but head and shoulder over competitors close and in the rest of durban. the basis of the dishes of the bel punto were all there: no stale or overcooked protein. no overwhelming sauces, seasoning or foaming to distract from the quality or the main element of the fish shell (i.e. the fish). they don't waste their time anywhere else in umdloti or umhlanga, where they find water-cooled salmon and overcooked garnels. the food scene in durban and environment has been on the decline for many years. that makes bel punto' boil an oasis in a desert of over complex and underwhelming directed, served by the same 14 on chartwell and mundo vida.

Beautiful view, excellent service, delicious food. a really pleasant experience.
