Fishermans Arms - Ulverston

I've driven past this place countless times, and today we finally decided to stop in for a bite to eat. All I can say is WOW! I expected traditional pub fare, but I was pleasantly surprised by the menu, which featured dishes you’d expect to find in a high-end restaurant. We ordered a main course and dessert, and I couldn’t find any faults with the entire meal. I had the confit pork belly, which was served with a black pudding fritter, caramelized apples, Lyonnaise potatoes, a variety of roasted vegetables, and topped with a perfect strip of pork crackling—10/10! I can't wait to return and try more of the delicious offerings.

I had an excellent lunch! I really appreciated the smaller portion sizes, as they left me room for dessert. The tables were well spaced out, which made the dining experience feel very safe in terms of Covid precautions.

Best fish and chips! Lightly battered and seasoned well. Thought it might be greasy because of takeaway, but crisp and delicious!

They have gone above and beyond and are doing an amazing job with your deliveries around the village at such a difficult time, your meals on wheels are superb value and lovely. thank you both for your hard work....

We visited yesterday and had a fantastic time with friends, enjoying a wonderful meal. The staff and service were exceptional. I highly recommend this place for a meal; it’s the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. - William
