Really I been there without any expectations but was OK. Food was a mix of new and traditional with normal quantities. Hake was not the best but all sharing dishes was perfect and rest of people said that dishes was wonderfull. Really a recommended place and for sure I will come back
You know when you go a second time to a place that exceeded your expectations and you get disappointed because this time your expectations were rather high? We went a second time and it was awesome. We went with our village again and every last place was taken. Auza is still one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and well worth a visit. We drove 50 km from our village. The menu is now 30 euros and I still have no idea how they don’t make a loss: the ingredients alone are more expensive. This year we had the pochas with seafood, the breaded pulpo, artichokes with boletus and foie, chestnut soup with boletus, asparagus with boletus cream and caviar, and one more starter that escapes me right now. For mains we had the veal sweetmeat and the chuleton and for pudding the leche frito and the panna cotta. Dina had lots of the excellent Pago de Cirsus and of course a gargantuan portion of pacharan. You can see on the pictures how the food was presented and trust me: it tasted even better. Simply incredible craftsmanship by the cook.
