Fishermen's Wharf Seafood - Ulladulla

This is not a review for the restaurant - we thought we'd try the fresh fish on offer first.Nothing looked particularly fresh so we chose some tiger prawns which looked the best out of everything else on offer.They weren't great.The fish on offer looked old and I'm guessing anything unsold gets served in the restaurant.We understand that outside of the main centres spanking fresh may not always be an option but seriously and I hate to say this but if you want fresh fish - go to the supermarket.Points for trying but nah

Recent visit for lunch during a lazy Wednesday drive to the south coast. We were keen for fish n chips, but found some different options which was a nice surprise. I enjoyed the chowder, while others had fish cakes, grilled fish, and the homemade spring rolls. Service was very quick for all meals. Probably not the standard fish n chips we were intending on having, but lovely and did not weigh us down for the rest of the day like a fried lunch would have.

My husband and I recently stopped here to and from a short break at Berry. We just had coffee and cake which we enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine. The service was good and the next time we are in Ulladulla we'll have a seafood lunch.

All six of us were returning customers but not again. Service was non existent with each diner served at different times. Two of us waited 30 minutes after others had their meal. Grilled fish with chips was burnt, dry and small. Commented on this to a male barista who said he would talk to chef. Ignored instead. Despite restaurant having very few diners, not busy.Tables not cleared, insufficent paper napkins which were wet. Flies and sparrows on food and furniture.Great variation in food portion sizes, quality and temperature.Expensive for basic fish and chips.A big shame as this used to be a terrific venue with quality food and service but if there had been a response to my comments at the time, I would consider a return but no, not now as the food industry in the area is huge and competitive and values the local patrons as well as the visitors. No evidence of this on the day.

Nice place to sit down and eat on the harbour. Always have the fish burger and its awesome will come back often.worth a visit.
