It was also right across to Edelweiss, a very popular and old German Bakery. We missed having breakfast there, maybe next time. We did not get to explore the Bagore ki Haveli, but attended the superb dance and music show later in the evening. Do not miss it if you happen to visit - it has women dancing in ghoonghat, with pots of fire and one lady even did a dance with 13 pots on her head! Post the show, we googled for the best place to have dinner around, we did not want to walk much. Sun and Moon Cafe showed up and we decided to hit it. Udaipur has the culture of converting every haveli into a heritage hotel and every available terrace into a cafe or a restaurant. Most restaurants you will find in the prime areas will be ‘rooftop’ with a good/average view of the surrounding lakes, Pichola in this case. Sun and Moon offers a pretty good view, I have added photos that I could take with my phone. The restaurant is on the fourth floor and has two additional, higher levels if I am not wrong. It was teeth chattering cold when we reached around 0930 pm so we sat inside only. The place seemed to be deserted when we arrived, but quickly a couple of families arrived. Most restaurants in Gangaur Ghat cater to foreigners, and the ambience here reflected that too. The buddha statue, sitar music played in the background, the rajais and the pillows - the entire setup. The menu also explains each dish - the ingredients, the making and how it tastes. We needed to get warm, so quickly ordered hot lemon-honey teas for wife, a cream of tomato soup for self and paneer pakodas for both, to start off with. The waiter took the orders and disappeared into the darkness of the terrace. 5 minutes later, he appeared with hot tea. I sipped it a little bit - it was suitably hot and warmed me instantly. The tea was just about right, and was a good start. The soup arrived shortly with the pakodas and we got munching. The pakodas were well made, with a touch of ajwain, just like wife makes at home. We ordered rotis and mix veg for our main course. In hindsight, we could have skipped this as we were already feeling full. The mix veg was also very average, even we could have whipped up better stuff. A mundane end to otherwise what was a very good meal.

This place is having great ambience to have dinner on the roof top with the perfect lake view and there is an individual sitting place on the top of the restaurant from where you can see whole udaipur from lake side to city side For ambience and location 5/5 But the food here is average 3/5
You will get the most beautiful view from here. They have different floors with different sitting choices and aesthetic vibe.The food and drinks are amazing as well. Do visit this cafe if you're in Udaipur.
