We ordered paneer and capsicum sandwich which was okay-ish. The tomato and basil pasta was stale. The margarita pizza was tasteless. In the beverages, the portion size of the café frappe was extremely small like the tiniest portion ever, and the red wine was hot! The cherry on top was the manager, with a crass attitude and superiority complex. He had an 'I don't care' attitude. This is my first review on zomato, and I'm writing it only because of the manager's attitude.
Food: The two of us ordered Veg Biryani. The quantity was enough to fill both of us. The biryani tasted really nice with raita. Ambiance: With the light breeze blowing on the rooftop, the candlelit dinner provided a nice ambiance for a low key V-day dinner. The seating options on jute cot, gaddi and table-chair offered customers varied experiences. Service: The service was lacking in terms of promptness. Spread across 3 floors, the waiters were not readily available to provide menu cards, take orders and present the bill. Suggestion: Please add a Drinks section in your menu for the cocktails and liquor. We had to ask the waiter about the options verbally.
This place has wow non vegetarian food! Especially after eating a good amount of ghee loaded vegetarian stuff, the non vegetarian food here will pamper your taste buds... The location is in the middle of a crowded street at a crowded market area... But the ambience takes you to a different world altogether... The nutella pancake is yummy and worth a try... Good service too!!
This place is right next to the famed Jagdish temple near the city palace. We sat at the rooftop area overlooking the street and with a great view of the temple roof. So full marks for the ambience. If only the food would have been as great. We had a chicken and a veg pizza with cappuccino. In addition, I tried some pasta too. It was all pretty average fare. But the great ambience does kind of make up for it. Give it a go next time you are in Udaipur.
I am out of words for this place! We discovered this place while roaming on the streets of Chandpole after a beautiful puppet show at Bagore ki Haweli. There was a flyer hung over a building about this restaurant which had an recommendation by Lonely Planet. Going by their credibility we decided to visit this restaurant and we r glad we did. The place is spread over three floors with a roof top seating which is very light up with fairly lights. A perfect place for a quiet candle light dinner in an open air set up. Coming to the food part, I would say its little above average. We tried their Italian cuisine starting with the simple, tried and teated Tomato Basil soup, chicken Greek salad and chicken pasta in tomato sauce. The soup was amazing also considering January winters, the soup gave us the perfect relief from the cold winds. The Greek salad and pasta were just about ok. After reading up with reviews on Zomato we think we should have tried their Indian cuisine. Nonetheless,no regrets. Overall, a very good place to spend the evening with a very warm and cozy look and feel given to the entire place. The staff is very courteous and helpful. A meal for two which comprised of a soup, chicken salad, chicken pasta and an old monk served under a sky full of stars with a perfect ambience came at a cost of Rs. 1100/-. I would rate this place: Food 3/5 Service 4.5/5 Ambience 5/5 Location 3.5/5 Value for money 4/5
