It has a great advantage of roof top with a divine view of the Shreenath ji temple and the market below. We order: * Lime Soda -1 * Vegetable Soup -1 * Naan - 2 * Zeera Rice- 1 * Dal Fry - 1 The total bill was around 800/- (approx)
We went by the good food reviews on Zomato and here is our experience at this "cafe". It was empty except couple of foreigners on terrace. Their terrace has a small room which was perfect for our family of 17. It was a hot day so we requested to be sat in that room with AC; they agreed, we sat. We started ordering, some were taking more time than others so we requested the waiter/manager person to go ahead and start making entrées while we decide main course, he huffed his annoyance at this, walking towards kitchen shaking his head and slamming his notepad on a table nearby but we chose to ignore this behaviour as we were with our parents and we were all hungry. After a while, even AC was switched off saying there is no power but rest of the hotel had electricity, we ignored that too. This person comes back again to check if we have decided main course, again we gave some more order (few of them still deciding as they arrived later after parking the cars somewhere) so we asked about the entrées we ordered, this time the person was so annoyed he says 'if you order like this I don't think we can make it'. That did it for us, we checked with our parents if they can stay hungry for a while longer because this person is clearly in no mood of serving and is making unnecessary excuses, so we all left the place and explained him this is not how you should be talking to your potential customers. One of my diabetic uncle had to take his medicine so he got a chat and chai from a small shop named 'Jagdish Shree Restaurant Namkeen' in the alley next to this "cafe". We ordered an extra chat to taste, luckily it wasn't bad so we all ordered. This small shop owner happily served all 17 of us along with the people already sitting in his restaurant. There was no space in his little shop so we all sat on the footpath and had our chats, teas and coffes. Food might be good at Mayur Cafe but service matters too. Hope others do not experience the same.

Ordered coffee and mac and cheese. The coffee was like home made coffee but tasted good. The Mac and cheese had a lot of cheese. Good for people who like more cheese in their food. Best part was the view of Udaipur city from the rooftop!
Food was really amazing. For meat lovers the masala lamb should be a must try - perfect blend of flavours and spices. The maans and indian breads are also properly baked in tandoor. I just loved the garlic naan. The staff is also really very courteous. View was also good I would say. You can see the Jagdish Temple on one side and the Karni Mata Temple on the mountain from one side. You even get to see the view of lake pichola from one side. Food - 4/5 Ambience - 3/5 Service - 3.5/5
