Ok types non vegetarian as we have less options for nonvegterian in udaipur so People recommending this otherwise nothing is extra ordinary.
I had always looked for an Indian answer to KFC. Then I tried the fried chicken from this place on an official trip to Udaipur. We were keenly looking for a non-veg eatery and we were recommended this place by a muslim shopkeeper at Hathi Pol. I am thankful to him! My boss ordered chicken butter masala first, then added the fried chicken as starter. Loved the crunchy fried chicken with big, juicy pieces of chicken! The tangy and spicy onion salad (from lime juice and red chilli powder) and the mint chutney accompanying it elevated the sensorial experience! The waiter had asked us how pungent we would like the butter chicken- high. medium or low, to which we said 'low'. The one that came may be 'low' by Udaipur/ Rajasthan standards, but enough to give a sweaty nose to a Bengali who is comfortable with pungency. It was tasteful but, with the tender chicken pieces doused in it. The tawa roti that I ordered was the perfect foil to the thick, spicy gravy. The taste was unlike butter chicken. The portion size of both dishes was big! It's not an AC restaurant and the ambience is downmarket. One can come here only for good food. It's diagonally opposite the Jama Masjid in Loha Bazar which is near Hathi Pol, a landmark in Udaipur. For more food reviews, check out my blog by clicking the URL below.
