Crazy good home made noodle house. I had the dish of fried Tempeh appetizer that came with a special onion Sambal and the Rendang wheels with large pieces of delicate beef. Friendly place feels like home. Passion fruit juice was killer, with tons of delicious pulp. Funky decor feels comfortable. You have a Bahasa Indonesian language learning meeting on Wednesday 17:00-18:30 in the evening, more from a social event, but it is worth checking. I live in the area and will come here more often. Great place. Great people.

Love the place! Good food, amazing hosts and the live kitchen is a eye-catcher. Dog-friendly if you have pets. Anna, Andy the guys are going to fame and help you do with local tips as well as things. Definitely recommended for first timers.

Dining at Bula Vinaka is like dining in a locals home...you will feel like family here. The owner Andi and his wife are so welcoming and you will meet so many locals and other tourists at this great place... oh and the food is amazing!! I highly recommend eating here as it just might be the highlight of your trip! And if you are vegetarian or even vegan you are in for a treat.. as they will cater the food to your request. Not to mention all of the friendly dogs you will encounter. If you are looking for more than just a restaurant you should definitely make Bula Vinaka a MUST on your list while you are in ubud.

The best home cooked food I 've had for a long time. if I could, I would come every day. great idea also, to have 2 menus (vegetarian or no vegetarian food). Makes it easier to choose. big portions, fair price, no MSG. great chatting with you, Anna and chapeau to the chef, Andi. see you again and regards to your fluffy bodyguards.
