Babis Doxoula - Tympakio

We had a great dining experience at this Greek restaurant. We have been there twice now and tried a variety of dishes such as salads, bean soup, fava, baked eggplants, mixed vegetables, stuffed tomatoes, and peppers. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced between 3 and 6€. With four different courses, two people can easily feel satisfied. The owner was very helpful in explaining the ingredients, and she speaks fluent German, English, and Greek.

The food did not meet our expectations based on the reviews. Despite having visited Crete multiple times, we did not find the cuisine to be authentic. The service was friendly and helpful, but the food was mediocre. The fries were overly greasy, the pastezia was dry and bland. The only dishes we enjoyed were the dakos and stuffed grape leaves. Additionally, we were overcharged for a meal that we did not order. It was disappointing. Service: Dine-in.

This charming restaurant offers delicious authentic Cretan cuisine in a lovely setting with a friendly owner. Don't hesitate to stop by for a meal, as the portions are generous. There is plenty of parking available in front of the restaurant, and the service is excellent. The average price per person for lunch is between €20-25. Overall, the food and service both receive a rating of 5, while the atmosphere is a 4. Free parking is available in the parking lot.

Enjoyable, traditional fare at good prices. We went for a Greek salad, bean soup (fasolia) and lentil soup (fakes), washed down with two cold ones, and it really hit the vegetarian spot. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
