Anchor Inn - Twillingate

At the end (9am) after a long trip checked, but the staff was there to welcome us (I had called earlier to let them know). Stay in a large room with two comfortable beds and a mini fridge in the annex (house on the hill). Had a beautiful deck overlooking the port of Twillingate, where we enjoyed our morning tea. Didn?t really everywhere on foot, but Long Point Lighthouse was a fast 8 minute drive, how was Auk Island Winery in Durrell. Some craft shops stopped, talked to the friendly (and informative) locals and picked up some great souvenirs. Very recommended!

We loved the Anchor Inn! The rooms were charming, beds comfortable, Georgie's restaurant was delicious with magnificent views. The live music at the pub was so funny, and the Blue Barrel Cafe was a pleasure. Just walk wherever we had to go, and the staff was so beautiful.

In the grain. Clean rooms. Nice staff we know. If you stay at the Anchor Inn READ THE FINE PRINT, you cannot stay at the place where you booked. You have a few locations.

A lovely hotel featuring a restaurant and pub. It's conveniently located for accessing nearby attractions. The staff is wonderfully warm and helpful.

We had anticipated staying at the Anchor Inn, but instead, we were directed to the Alphabet Fleet. The staff there informed us that many people mistakenly end up at the Alphabet Fleet due to the misleading nature of their website, and apparently, the owner refuses to make any changes to it, which seems counterproductive for securing more bookings. The Alphabet Fleet Inn is landlocked, so there's no waterfront view, and it lacks air conditioning, making for uncomfortable, sleepless nights during the hot and muggy weather. Additionally, we felt insecure as we had to leave the window open, leaving the room vulnerable to intruders. The only reason I’m giving it two stars instead of one is that the staff at the Alphabet Fleet were friendly.
