Small. breakfast all day, well located, friendly, inexpensive, good quality and quantity. Also run the canteen at the local arena.

I stopped in Tweed in Sept and went to "the front street diner", ordered a poutine which was overcooked and the lady working the counter was more interested in her phone than the customers, nice place but they to be careful with customer service, and...More

When this was called Frostys, it was locally owned by people who just thought that only local people counted, At that time I was a tourist and interested in relocating. I Love my ice cream and would make my cone a meal using the flavours available,,,at least anywhere else,,,but Frostys employees hadnt heard or didnt like dishing out more than one flavour and they were quite rude about it...so i left without buying my ice cream cone and never went back until it was purchased by new people, who cared about customer service and smartly changed its name to Koolys. This summer Lorraine and Janet, daughters of Heather Atkins President of Tweed Legion, came for a visit from Colburg and fell in love with the location and instantly made an offer which was accepted and in a blink of an eye they took over..After adjusting the atmosphere to a Restaurant setting with awesome flavours of ice cream, they set to work on a new menu and changed the name to THE FRONT STREET DINER. NOW it is awesome food, awesome service, pleasant experience, convenient and price savy and their ice cream shakes,,,yes real ice cream shakes, come in the mixing container so you don't miss a drop. They have a new facebook page so you can drop in on line and make a request..Best Restaurant/ Café/ Diner,,in the town of Tweed,,,mmmmmmmm good

No matter when you appear on their doorstep, Janet and Lorraine formally of Colburg Ontario, make you feel welcome. While visiting their Mother, Heather Atkins, President of The Tweed Legion, they fell in love with the quaint town and instantly made an offer. Taking over an old business previously named Koolys, and making it an awesome sit down, take out, delivery, or hang about café style delicious restaurant, has been a task by itself. With its new menu featuring ALL DAY BREAKFAST and DAILY DINNER SPECIALS along with an extensive mouth watering treats for your taste buds, you find yourself wanting to return daily in order to enjoy all the wonderful food on the menu. The coffee is always fresh and bottomless. The milkshakes are to die for and get this......they are served in the shake container so you get to enjoy to the very last slurp. We both had a turkey sandwich. One of the best turkey sandwiches I've had. Caesar salad was not so good, next time I'll have garden or a different side.Very friendly. I'll go back.
