I discovered this place during a recent Sunday stroll and was warmly welcomed by both the staff and the customers. They treated us like regulars, which was lovely. The beer was excellent, and there was even a tempting selection of cheeses and pork pies available for self-service. Unfortunately, we had just eaten, and for the first time in my life, I regretted having breakfast! We will definitely be back soon!

This delightful, quirky micropub is operated by very knowledgeable staff. I really enjoy the atmosphere, and of course, the ale is fantastic!

Great real ales and different choices on every visit.

Disappointing visit, we travelled from Derby for a day out after we checked opening times, for a Friday afternoon visit to enjoy some good beers. We were met at 3pm with a sour and cold reception, telling us that the Cask doesn't open until 5pm on Friday, but your own website says open from 12 midday ! Message to the Cask: im sure you look after to locals well, so update your website or open to vistors and try to be a bit more welcoming. The good news we found 3 other great pubs in Tutbury which will will welcome us again.
