Sushi Damu - Tustin

During our weekend trip to Irvine, my daughter suggested sushi for dinner. I decided to look for all-you-can-eat options with good reviews, and this place had the highest ratings. I made a reservation from our hotel room, which turned out to be a good decision. Despite the wait of almost an hour from our arrival at 6:50pm, we were not seated until around 7:45pm or even 8pm. However, those without reservations had even longer waits. Despite the wait, we were really hungry and relieved when we finally got seated. The food was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. I would definitely come back if I'm in town again.

The restaurant had small booths and was filled to capacity, so be prepared to feel cramped. I visited at 8:30 on a Saturday, so they were likely very busy. The service was not very attentive, possibly due to new staff working that night. The food was decent for an all-you-can-eat option, and they even had all-you-can-eat bluefin. Despite the high traffic, the restaurant was fairly clean.

This is my preferred sushi restaurant. The fish is always fresh, and there is a wide variety of options to choose from. I often suggest it to my friends.

Added an extra $15 upgrade but there is a limit on sashimi and Carpaccio for every order. It's a bummer, everywhere else we've been before was very generous with the amount after upgrades. Unfortunately, sushi damu doesn't the values as it once did. Though, the fish quality is still good.

Honestly one of the best sushi places in SoCal! I highly recommend it if you're an all-you-can-eat kind of person...the place is kinda small and can get cramped but if you don't mind being an each others space then you're all good. The baked mussels are amazing and staff is always super sweet. I've gone here maybe 6 times. Great for late night sushi and after Disney big dinner. Super fresh fish also. Best part honestly is the call over to table sign it makes it super easy to get attention and not worry. 10/10 would eat here again!
