The calamari was hands down the best I've ever had—crispy and packed with flavor, made from high-quality ingredients. Unlike many places that over-bread or double-fry their calamari, this was just right. The hot and sour soup was also outstanding, perfectly balancing peppers, egg, and vinegar. The crab rangoon was a bit basic, featuring imitation crab, but the portion size was good and the price was reasonable. For our main courses, we chose Beef Rendang and a seafood clay pot curry served with coconut rice and chicken rice. You have the option to select from steamed rice, brown rice, coconut rice, or chicken rice. The coconut rice was incredible—so fragrant and almost dessert-like in taste. The seafood clay pot was delightful, filled with fish, scallops, tofu, an array of vegetables, and eggplant in a spicy and savory broth. The beef rendang was tender, flavorful, and of excellent quality, with the curry spices enhancing the beef without overwhelming it. If you're looking to experience truly fantastic Malaysian food, I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Awesome food. Must try. I was really craving some authentic Malaysian food and this is the closest one to San Diego. I drove an hour to try the food and this is something that I plan to do regularly in future. Murtabak is good, very meaty. The specialty drinks are must try like Rambutan ice, Lychee ice or the Teh Tarik. Daging Kecap Manis was too good. I am sure all the menu is good. Everything we tried were delicious. The place gets busy, very busy. Book ahead of time.
This is a good place to try southeastern Asia food. Of course it cannot compare to Hawker center in Singapore, but it is okay enough. Service is great. All the waiters is very helpful. I would recommend chicken satay and Gado Gado. Price is decent too.
A really great place for Malaysian and Chinese fusion cuisine. The food was really great but it was a bit on the pricey side. Also it was a chilly evening and we were oddly seated outside without any heaters. Other than that 10/10 would recommend!
I'm a big fan of Malaysian food. When I lived in Japan, I'm going to KL to eat. I'm sorry, but the food here is just that. I had taken away from here and it was half decent, so I went in today, hoping it would be better. I had the Chicken Rendang Lunch Special. The chicken was too hard (boiled? and mostly bones, with little meat. The soup they give you is the typical American hot soup (not even a real??????? and the ?salad? are some of these fried noodles (from a can????????????????????????????????????????? .
