Local Roots - Tuscaloosa

It's been a while since I posted any review on a restaurant. That being said, it is worth it to review Local Roots because I LOVED every bit of the meal I got. It was just a simple single burger and their fries as a separate side. Super great quality meat and nice flavor on the bread that they use. I should've asked for more of the pickles because I could literally eat a jar of them in a sitting. I will definitely be back

I absolutely love Local Roots! You can?t go wrong with anything on the menu-right now my fav is the chicken salad! Seriously great with all the fixings on the sand which it even straight from the tub! Also the Grandaddy fries are a MUST with every order!! Do yourself a favor and eat local roots!

First time trying and I was not impressed. I?ve heard good things but unless I?m missing something there?s nothing special here. I ordered for curbside pickup and I ordered the buffalo chicken and fries. It didn?t take long to be ready I parked in the front and they came out within a few minutes which was great. Then I opened the box, it looked like it had been shaken up or dropped on the way out. The fries were cold, the chicken was soggy and the pickles were dumped upside down and spilled out and they tasted awful as if they had cinnamon on them. I was expecting it to be good and fresh because it didn?t take long from the time I ordered to the time I picked up. Not a great first impression.

The food was pretty good!! Red sauce on the kids pizza was a little different, but overall I was impressed with the meals. The food was reasonably priced. Drinks, on the other hand, were excessively marked up. Though it was nice to have a variety. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new, or a new take on something classic.

Decided to stop by for lunch. Everything sounded so good I didn't know what choose but we ended up going for the chicken sandwich, the yardbird, a side of fries, and a vanilla milkshake. The chicken sandwich came with big thick pickles and sriracha aioli on it. It was crispy and good. The yardbird had pimento cheese, ranch, and pickles. The flavor was good, but it was completely drenched in sauce which made the bottom piece of toast soggy and hard to pick up. The fries have good flavor. Some pieces are softer while others are crispy but overall tasted good. My favorite part of the meal was my milkshake! So smooth and delicious. It isn't a super thick shake like I prefer but the vanilla flavor is good. The milkshakes aren't listed on their menu but they have chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch blonde, and strawberry lemon flavors. Overall didn?t impress me enough to feel the need to come back but it was still good food
