Teriyaki No 1 Express - Turlock

The chicken and sushi here are great. The prices are reasonable and comparable to Panda Express. Some other reviews I can support. Customer service, well... the cook there who also tends to answers phones and takes orders can be hard to understand and he has a hard time understanding you if you're not sure what to order. However, he is a really nice guy. My advice is look at their menu ahead of time and know what number or meal name to order. Pronounce it clearly and depending on what you're ordering you might have to talk slow and clear. There is limited seating inside. Few booths and a couple of tables. Peaceful to eat there when nobody else is eating in. Best thing to do if you don't want to dine in is, like someone else mentioned, order ahead and pick it up to go in about 15 minutes. If you would like extra sauce on the SIDE make sure to ask when you're there. It will make it easier on everyone. If you want it in your plate then, yes you'll have to say it on the phone. Just FYI, they charge 25 cents per refill. So either have change with you, or chose a good size drink. Overall the place is a great spot for quick on the go food (if you call ahead). Place does have one unisex bathroom. If you haven't tried this place and you like chicken and/or sushi, give it a shot and see what you think.

The sushi was decent, and the seaweed was delightful! For the miso soup, I prefer it without cabbage; I think it would be better with just tofu and nori. I didn't find the place dirty at all; everything was clean, though some chairs and items seemed a bit old. The staff had a great attitude. Overall, I enjoyed my experience! One roll was priced at $9.99, and the miso soup was $7. Not bad!

The sushi rolls here are delicious and feature a wide variety, made with fresh seafood and vegetables, all at reasonable prices.

The fried rice and teriyaki chicken were absolutely delicious, and the dumplings were fantastic! I’ve definitely found my new favorite restaurant!
