Fuggles Beer Cafe - TUNBRIDGE WELLS

This is a fantastic spot for craft beer enthusiasts, with very knowledgeable staff. The food is excellent, and I appreciated the fact that all the hot dogs could be made with a vegetarian alternative. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to have a wide selection to choose from, rather than just the typical one veggie option found at many other places.

This bar seems to attract the most self-satisfied individuals in one location. From the arrogant bartenders to the rest of the staff.

After making the journey from East Grinstead, I found this restaurant to have an excellent selection of beers available in thirds, halves, and pints. The staff were very friendly, despite it being busy. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I came here afew weeks back with my husband and I can say it was diabolical. Rude staff that seemed to judge me on my choice of drink because I chose a juice as the beer choices overwhelms me. A glance of disappointment because I wanted a soft drink, what an odd chap he was

This bar is fantastic, with a range of intriguing drinks. More importantly it has a range of fascinating characters, none more so than the effervescent William who works behind the bar. William has served us several times, is quick witted, intelligent, comedically enlightened, sharper than a badgers tooth and creative. Although the drinks, food, clientele and dogs are a good reason to go to Fuggles it is William that keeps us returning. One time I heard William discussing the intellectual rigours of Shakespeare while at the same time serving 3 people, making 2 toasties, serving one of the dogs and still was able to offer genial observations on the sartorial footwear customs of one regular drinker. Oh, he was also humming a tune and offering a bit of a wiggle while doing so. In short, and I do not think it is fair to comment on people's height, William is a blessing, a pearl in a bowl of tropical skies, iridescent from the brown seas below. Long Live William!
