Our first reaction was, well..WHERE? You have to wander a little to discover this amazing spot. When you start to walk back past the house, you see mirrors on the left side of you on the ground, which leads to a beautiful garden guiding the fence. There are more hidden mirrors within the garden. The plants and flowers are GORGEOUS. The atmosphere alone has this calming and relaxing feel to it. Its almost indescribable the feelings you get when surrounded by this place 's beauty. The furniture was all pieces from a tree, absolutely gorgeous. All of the tables had a center piece made out of branches as well, with candle holders built in. The bar itself also had wooden chairs, with beautiful wooden chandeliers like I have never seen above. The space was spacious, yet had an intimate feeling to it too! There is a great selection of beet and wine!! Happy hour is from 3pm-7pm which consists of half off drinks! they sell HOOKAH, which is a plus! Andy was our server, he was great, very accommodating to our needs. The owner, Wendy, stopped by to greet us and ask us how our night was going and if we were enjoying our time. She was a very pleasant woman! My aunt and I enjoyed every second of the scenery, which you can check out in my photos! Please make your way to this gorgeous new spot that takes some exploring to fine :D You will not regret it!
The Secret Garden of ShiSha was one of the most relaxing spots I have been in long time. I stumbled upon it while walking down the street with my niece as it's behind a house and not visible from your road. The sign caught my eye and made me curious. They offer hookah, wine, beer and food with the most relaxing atmosphere. There are plants everywhere and I loved the mirrors on the fence. There is also a pretty waterfall. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The benches are made of carved out trees as well as the candle holders on each table which were very unique and beautiful. They have several pillows to sit on to make your seat more comfortable. I loved the chandeliers hanging in the bar area too. I only had one beer as it was getting late and we needed to head back home. But I'm looking forward to hanging here again my next trip to St Augustine.
A Secret Garden in historical St Augustine...yet to be discovered. Lovely hookah, chess, drink, and social experience in the Secret Garden of Shi Sha. Turkish Treat was my first hookah flavor and hookah experience. It was like inhaling a cappuccino, vanilla, and mint. Great selection of beers and wine. Andy, the bartender, was very accommodating and phenomenal. He made sure all our needs were met. Wendy, the owner, was very friendly and gracious. My social experience here was rare. I was learning chess and smoking hookah for the first time with an organ grinder, spiritual advisor, and accountant in this beautiful and exotic secret garden. Conversation was amusing. People watching was the best. Happy hour is 3 PM to 7 PM...half price on beer and wine. Cheers!
I enjoy this place , mostly I think cause it's hidden like a secret garden . It's all out doors The have pretty good hookah. Everything is made from tree bark . Very different . The service was great just a little slow . Place is can be romantic . The only down side is after sitting on the seats your bum starts to hurt . I think little pillows or cushions would fix that problem . Fun place to go with friends for drinks and relaxing in St. Augustine.
I am a huge fan of this place and love to recommend it to friends! The servers are always so friendly and helpful and they bring the hooka and your drinks too you! The seating and tables are made from carved out trees and there are string lights hanging from the trees proving a perfect ambiance! Plenty of flavors to choose from. I recommend paying extra for the double flavors as it makes a world of a difference!
