Dare to Bite - TUMBARUMBA

The food is relatively decent. I had a veggie toastie of average taste. I repeatedly asked for soy milk in my coffee and what did they use?! Diary. I mentioned it to them, no apology, they just shrug and made me another coffee, with soy milk. From ordering to receiving my food and coffee took over 30 minutes, whilst the shop had only one onther customer before me. Absolutely terrible, negligent, inconsiderate service. Do yourself a favour and spend your money on businesses that truly appreciate it.

When you combine great service, fresh and delicious food and tasty treats how can you go wrong? Cannot fault this cafe. Breakfast and afternoon tea there today. Speaks volumes!

Continued my crusade to find the BEST BLT IN THE WORLD. It won’t be found in Tumbarumba but nevertheless the BLT was a reasonable competitor. The bacon was tasty and a generous serve (big tick for this), the lettuce was a pleasant mesclun mix. The tomato was not far off green and had no flavour. The bun – well it was just a bun. My partner was not impressed with the range of choice on the menu or her eventual selection of a chicken, avocado, cheese and sun-dried tomato toastie.

Disappointed! Everything about this place disappointed. For starters they always looked as if they were closed. Their web site wasn’t clear is to operating hours. Could go on and on.

Stopped as we were passing through Tumby and it’s always good to support a local business. Ordered a Supreme Pizza and wife had chicken nuggets and chips. Both were very ordinary. The pizza had so many toppings, the base didnt get a chance to cook. Some of the ingredients on the toppings were cold as if they hadn’t been in to oven long enough. The thick pizza base was raw. The chicken nuggets were ordinary and the chips were nice. I mean, what can you do to nuggets? The drinks were very nice, a great milkshake and ised coffee.
