Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe - Tulum

Easily the best ice cream we have tasted. My family of four agree wholeheartedly.Difficult to find, or park (free) near, but SO good we went back four more times even though we weren't staying in Akumal.My son's swore by the cookie dough, my partner the strawberry. But for me - the rum and raisin. Loads of raisins, creamy ice cream, flavoured with real rum. Not a hint of (unreal) flavourings. I had this same flavour each time as I know I will never have it better anywhere else.

We had lunch here one day and it was average. We did not try the famous ice creams but had cake for dessert that were just OK. After reading other reviews maybe our expectations were too high. We would not rush back here.

I was looking for a dessert place, and was very happy to discover this place. Coffee was good, as well as smoothies, and I recommend Akumal flavored ice-cream - I loved it!

Really enjoyed Turtle Bay with our two teenage daughters while in Akumal this past May. Great fresh dishes, amazing ice cream and a relaxed vibe. Prices are not the cheapest but it's a hot tourist spot, so that's expected. Quality is worth it. Enjoyed the nacho platter as well!
